2024학년도 제1학기 조기졸업 신청과 관련하여 안내드립니다.

우선 이번 학기부터 개정되어 적용되는 조기졸업 관련 규정을 다음과 같이 알려드립니다.

· 학기별 취득학점 조건 삭제:
학기별 17(18)학점 및 외국대학 학점 15학점 이상 이수해야 했던 기존 요건이 폐지되었습니다.
· 조기졸업 신청 시 학점 조건 완화
조기졸업 '신청자격' 중 학점 조건이 기존 4.00에서 3.85로 하향되었습니다. 다만 해당 내용은 신청 시의 학점 기준 완화를 의미하며 최종 조기졸업은 기존대로 4.0 이상이어야 가능합니다. 따라서 조기졸업 신청 당시에는 학점이 4.0을 넘지 않으나, 신청 이후 1~2개 학기를 이수하며 학점을 4.0으로 상승시킬 수 있는 학생들의 조기졸업 가능성이 확대된 것으로 이해해주시면 됩니다.

이번 학기 조기졸업 신청 관련 상세사항은 다음과 같습니다.

■ 조기졸업(일반)

1. 신청 기간:
3/4 (월) 10시 ~ 3/22 (금) 17시

2.  신청 자격
· 모든 이수 교과목 중 F등급이 없음
· 제5학기부터 제6학기 말까지 108학점 이상을 취득함
(졸업요구학점 135인 학과(부) : 112학점 이상, 140인 학과(부) : 117학점 이상)
· 전체 성적평점평균이 3.85 이상임

3. 조기졸업 대상 제외
· 의과대학, 건축학과, 사이버국방학과 소속 학생
· 편입학생
· 성적경고 기록이 있는 학생

4. 신청 방법:
portal.korea.ac.kr → 학적/졸업 → 조기졸업신청
※ 재수강한 교과목이 있는 학생은 소속대학 행정실에 신청서류 직접 제출 바람.

5. 졸업 기준
· 학사운영규정 제56조와 제57조가 정하는 졸업요건 충족
· 전체 학년 동안 F 등급이 없이 전체 성적평점평균이 4.00 이상


■ 조기졸업(특별)

1. 신청 기간 : 3/4 (월) 10시 ~ 3/22 (금) 17시

2. 신청 자격:
일반대학원 학·석사 연계과정 합격생
※ 연계과정에 합격하여도 조기졸업 신청을 하지 않으면 조기졸업이 불가하니 ❗반드시❗ 신청 바람.

3. 신청방법:
소속대학 행정실에 직접 신청서류 제출

4. 제출 서류
· 조기졸업신청서(소정양식) 1부
· 석사과정 진입 추천서 사본 1부

5. 졸업 기준
· 학사운영규정 제56조, 제57조, 58조가 정하는 졸업요건 충족
· 전체 성적평점평균이 4.00 이상
※ 조기졸업(특별) 학·석사연계과정 합격생은 대학원 행정실로 별도 문의바람 

■ 유의사항
· 신청 기준은 "대내용" 성적을 반영함. 즉, 수강한 모든 교과목의 성적을 기준으로 하며, 추후 재수강을 하더라도 F등급을 받은 이력이 있는 경우 신청 불가(F등급은 취득한 학점이 아니므로 '취득학점 포기' 불가)
· 조기졸업 신청한 학기에 조기졸업 기준을 갖추어 졸업하여야 함.
· 조기졸업 신청 후 조기졸업을 하지 않고 조기수료하는 것은 불가함.
· 조기졸업 자격은 조기졸업을 신청한 학기에만 유효하며, 6학기 조기졸업 탈락 후 7학기에 조기졸업을 하고자 하는 경우 7학기에 재신청 필요함. (다음 학기로 자동 연기 안 됨)
· 졸업예정증명서 발급을 위해 조기졸업 승인이 빠르게 필요한 경우, 단과대학 행정실에 요청 바람.

Hello, this is KU Student Union Emergency Committee.

We would like to provide information regarding the application for early graduation for 2024 Spring Semester.

First, we would like to inform you about the amendments applicable from this semester related to early graduation:

· Removal of per-semester credit requirements: The previous requirements of earning 17 (or 18) credits per semester and a minimum of 15 credits from foreign universities have been abolished.
· Relaxation of credit requirements for early graduation applications: The GPA requirement for early graduation 'eligibility' has been lowered from 4.00 to 3.85. However, this refers to a relaxation of the GPA criteria at the time of application; the final early graduation still requires a GPA of 4.0 or higher. Therefore, students whose GPA does not exceed 4.0 at the time of application but can improve it to 4.0 after completing one or two semesters are now eligible for early graduation.

The detailed information for this semester's early graduation application is as follows:

■ Early Graduation (Regular)

1. Application Period:
Mar 4 (Mon) 10:00 AM to Mar 22 (Fri) 5:00 PM

2.  Eligibility:
· No F grades in any completed courses.
· Completed at least 108 credits from the fifth to the sixth semester.
(For departments requiring 135 credits for graduation: at least 112 credits, for 140 credits: at least 117 credits)
· Overall GPA of at least 3.85.

3. Students subject to the following are not eligible for early graduation:
· Students affiliated with the College of Medicine, Department of Architecture, Department of Cyber Defense,
· Transfer students,
· Students with an academic warning on their record.

4. Application Method:
Log in to the KU Portal (portal.korea.ac.kr) → Registration and Graduation → Graduation → Early Graduation
※ Students who have retaken courses must submit their application documents directly to the administrative office of their respective college.

5. Graduation Requirements
· Students requesting early graduation must meet all the graduation requirements stipulated by each college/division/school.
· Students shall be disqualified from graduating early if the conditions and requirements for early graduation stipulated in the Constitution and Academic Regulations are not met.
· Students requesting early graduation must have achieved an overall GPA of at least 4.00.

■ Early Graduation (Special Circumstances)

1. Application Period:
Mar 4 (Mon) 10:00 AM to Mar 22 (Fri) 5:00 PM

2. Eligibility:
Students who have been approved for the Bachelor-Master’s Integrated Program at the Graduate School
※ Even if you are accepted into the integrated program, you must apply for early graduation to be eligible.

3. Application Method:
Apply to the administration office of the affiliated department/division/school.

4. Required Documents
· Application for Early Graduation (prescribed form)
· A copy of a recommendation letter for pursuing a Master’s program

5. Graduation requirements
· Satisfying the graduation requirements stipulated in Articles 56 and 57 of the Academic Regulations
· Achieving an overall GPA 4.0 or higher over the entire course of study
※ For those students, please inquire separately at the graduate school administration office.

■ Notes
· The GPA for application is based on the "internal grades," meaning all grades from all enrolled courses are considered, and re-enrollment in courses after receiving an F grade does not qualify for early graduation (as F grades do not count towards earned credits).
· Students must meet early graduation criteria in the semester they apply.
· Completing the semester early without graduating is not possible after applying for early graduation.
· Eligibility for early graduation is only valid for the semester applied; if you do not meet the early graduation requirements by the sixth semester, you must reapply in the seventh semester (automatic extension to the next semester is not possible).
· If you need early graduation approval quickly for the issuance of a prospective graduation certificate, please request this through the administrative office of your college.
