Talks on Research Postgraduate Studies in Korea  
October 10-11, 2011


We are pleased to have invited Professor Sookja K. Chung from the Department of Anatomy, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) to give talks to students in Korea on research postgraduate studies (MPhil and PhD) at HKU.

Professor Chung was educated in the US from high school to PhD (University of Illinois Medical School) and was then NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern Medical School and Winston Foundation Fellow at The Rockefeller University. She has been working in HKU for 20 years, from Investigator at the Institute of Molecular Biology to Professor in Department of Anatomy.  Her main research interest is to manipulate mouse genome to understand the pathogenesis of human diseases by employing the state-of-the-art technology.  

Professor Chung will share her personal experience and provide a brief introduction of HKU, including the history, ranking, and the excellent facilities to support research, teaching and learning.  She will also talk about the reasons why one may want to pursue research postgraduate education at HKU.  

The admission requirements, application details, tuition fee, scholarships, awards, grants and other financial assistance available to students will be covered in the talks.
