2023학년도 2학기 중간고사 일정 및 참고사항을 아래와 같이 안내합니다.

1. 중간고사 일정:
2023. 10.20(금) ~ 10. 26(목)(1주간 실시)

2. 시험방식: 대면시험 원칙
(단, 수강생의 불가피한 해외 체류, 수강생의 대규모 전염병 감염, 대규모 수강인원으로 인한 고사장 운영문제, 교과목 특성상 원격/비대면 평가나 과제물 제출형태가 필요한 경우 등 특별한 사유가 있을 경우 원격/비대면 시험 또는 과제물 대체 가능)

3. 강의 담당하시는 교원 및 각 대학, 학과 담당자분들께 아래와 같이 권고 드립니다.

가. 시험시행 관련 수강생 협의 및 안내 당부: 시험운영 및 평가방식에 대해 이미 강의계획안을 통해 공지가 되었더라도 수강생과 사전 협의 및 안내하여 수강생의 혼란 없이 시험이 진행될 수 있도록 주의 바랍니다.

나. 불응시 성적인정 제도: 질병, 병역 또는 그 밖의 부득이한 사유로 시험에 응시할 수 없는 학생은 학칙 제45조 제2항, 학사운영 규정 제69조 및 제70조 등에 근거하여 불응시 성적인정을 신청할 수 있습니다.

다. ChatGPT등 생성형AI 활용 관련 유의사항: 본교의 ChatGPT등 AI의 기본 활용 가이드라인에 따라, 생성형 인공지능(Generative AI)의 교육적 활용 효과 및 부정적인 영향을 종합적으로 고려해 개별 수업의 교수자가 생성형 AI 허용여부(특히 과제물 제출관련)를 결정해 수강생들에게 안내 및 강의계획서에 명시 바랍니다.

라. 평가방식: 각 개설 과목별로 정한 평가유형(절대평가/상대평가) 및 기준에 따라 평가하며, 성적처리 등 자세한 평가일정에 대해서는 학기말 별도로 안내합니다.

마. 기타 시험 운영관련 안내사항
   1) 시험기간 중 시험 외 수업은 강의개설시 정한 방식(대면수업은 대면, 원격(비대면)수업은 원격)대로 진행이 원칙입니다. 단 수업시간 외 수업진행, 타 시험 진행에 따른 강의실 확보문제 등 부득이한 경우 원격수업을 활용할 수 있습니다. 휴강에 대한 보강의 경우 대면수업으로 개설한 교과일지라도 실시간 또는 녹화 형태의 원격(비대면)수업운영이 가능합니다.
   2) 고등교육법 및 교육부 지침에 따라 각 교과목은 한 학기 15주 법정수업일수(1주 2회 수업인 경우 30회, 1주 1회 수업인 경우 15회 실시)를 충족해야 하며, 관련하여 휴강 및 보강 지침을 참고하시기 바랍니다.
   3) 대면평가, 원격(비대면) 평가 및 과제물 부여 평가의 경우 1회 수업을 대체하는 것으로 인정됩니다.

학생 불응시 성적인정 안내, 학사운영계획 등 자세한 사항은 포털 학사공지 게시판의 해당 공지를 확인해주시기 바랍니다.

[Notice on Fall semester Midterm-exam]

Greetings, this is Korea University Student Union.

Please find the schedule and notes for the midterm-exam for the Fall semester of 2023 as follows.

1. Midterm-exam schedule:
Oct 20th , 2023(Fri) ~ Oct 26th, 2023(Thu) (1 week)

2. Midterm-exam shall be based on the face-to-face test, and non-face-to-face test or assignment replacement for the test is possible in cases where it is reasonable and necessary for the circumstances of each class.
(i.e. 1) staying abroad of the student not at your own fault 2)Multiple infectious disease outbreaks among students and professor 3) large-scale enrollment class and so on)

3. We recommend the following to teachers and staffs of administrative offices in each college about running the midterm-exam

A. Consult and inform students about the test: Even if the test administration and evaluation method has already been announced through the syllabus, please make sure to consult with students in advance to ensure that the test is conducted without any confusion to your students.

B. Granted Grade System: Students who are unable to take the exam due to illness, military service, or other unavoidable reasons, may apply for a Granted grade based on Article 45, Paragraph 2 of the Academic Regulations and Articles 69 and 70 of the Academic Administration Regulations.

C. Notes on the use of ChatGPT and other generative AI: In accordance with the university's basic guidelines for the use of AI such as ChatGPT, instructors of individual classes should decide whether to allow generative AI (especially in relation to submission of assignments) by comprehensively considering the educational benefits and negative effects of generative AI, and specify it in the instructions and syllabus.

D. Evaluation Methods: Students will be evaluated according to the evaluation type (absolute or relative) and criteria established for each course, and the detailed evaluation schedule, including grade processing, will be announced separately at the end of the semester.

E. Other Guidelines for Test Operation
   1) During the examination period, non-examination classes can be conducted in the manner prescribed at the beginning of the course (face-to-face for face-to-face classes, remote for remote (non-face-to-face) classes). However, if it is unavoidable, such as conducting classes outside of class hours, due to classroom environment, or due to the supplement class remote classes(live or recorded) may be utilized.
   2) In accordance with the Higher Education Act and Ministry of Education guidelines, each course must meet the 15-week statutory class period of a semester (30 classes in the case of twice-weekly classes and 15 classes in the case of once-weekly classes), and please refer to the guidelines for suspension and reinforcement in this regard.
   3) Face-to-face assessments, remote (non-face-to-face) assessments, and assignment-based assessments are recognized as substitutes for one class.
