Korea University Medical Center (KUMC) Anam hospital officially announced that it is to launch its own card news. The card news, consisting of four categories, is aimed to give health information as well as useful daily life tips to readers.

“Health Plus,” the first category among the four will give information and useful tips associated with health. “Anam Inside” will talk about the past, present, and future of Anam hospital, while “Sharing Empathy” will introduce stories of hope within the community. Lastly, “Skilled Doctor Story” will share stories of actual doctors of the Anam hospital.

All the card news of Anam hospital will be accessible via Social Network Service (SNS) such as Facebook, Twitter, and KakaoTalk. Moreover, anyone will be able to comment on the news without signing up, creating a platform for flexible and open communication.

“It is good to know that I am getting reliable health information from KUMC,” said Yoon Ji Young (’16, English Literature) who recently started subscribing the card news. “All the medical information is easy to understand and I especially enjoy the ‘Skilled Doctor Story’ section,” she added.

On March 2, “Starting the Rumor of Card News” event was held in front of the staff cafeteria to celebrate the launch of the card news. As much as this event was successful with many people participating in sharing the card news on their SNS pages, Anam hospital’s innovative attempt is expected to bring about diverse positive effects.
