Microsoft Office 365 Proplus Registration Process on KUPID.

From December 1, Microsoft Office 365 Proplus is available to students at Korea University (KU). The new Office 365 Proplus, which includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint OneNote, and much more, will enable enrolled students and faculty to use MS Office services for educational and research purposes, both in and out of campus, regardless of the type of device. Students and staff can use up to five different devices per person. 50GB of storage on Outlook Personal Email, and 1TB on OneDrive will also be provided.

Specific information on how to login in and use the programs will be available on KU Portal and Information Depository (KUPID). However, students must make sure to select Korean as the mode of language. The instructions and the download program are not available on the English version of KUPID. On KUPID go to Info Depot-Domain—click Computing Resource Enrollment and Application—click Administration Program Guidance—click Agree—click Office 365 Service—click Start Service. After finishing the process, a site will pop up requiring students to agree and login with KU Email.

“It's a great and a very generous thing for the school to provide students a chance to use Microsoft programs for free,” said Kate Cho (’14, International Studies). However, she expressed disappointment on the school’s communication methods that marginalized international students. All the relevant information was only announced in Korean on KUPID.
