One of the biggest criticisms of the current Korea University Student Assocation (KUSA), Jieum, has been its continued postponing of opening up its official website. Jieum’s communication channel has been mostly limited to its Facebook Account and Koreapas, Students on campus, were greatly discontent by this narrow medium of communication.

After 11 months of delay Jieum finally launched the official website for the KUSA on November 2. This website will not only be used by Jieum but also will be continued to be utilized by following KUSAs in the future. The website address is koreastudent.kr. Jieum formally announced “Our new website has different sections introduction, announcements, KUSA News, and a Community for students to freely express their opinions and advertise,” on its Facebook Post.

Although it has taken quite a long time for Jieum to finally set up its website, the quality of the website is outstanding. The website looks similar to Korea University’s (KU) official website, using the signature color, crimson. The website also provides links to webpages of different organizations scattered around campus including, the library, the KU Portal to Information Directory (KUPID), Blackboard, Campus map and much more. It is anticipated that the new website will foster greater communication between the KUSA and the general KU students.
