Since 2012, Department of Basic Education under Korea University (KU) Office of Academic Affairs has conducted two large programs, and University Plus is one of them. This program aims for KU students, as members of the society, to cultivate creativity, warm heart, and manners, as well as to achieve high academic performance. Every semester, five programs are opened for KU students which are as follows: Nanuri Dialogue, Schole, Human & Hope, Crimson Etiquette, and Onsaemiro. For the students who complete the whole courses, the certificate is provided through simple procedure.

University Plus Program for the first semester of 2015 consists of four courses which are “Hearing the voice of University education,” “Korean classical music concert with Korea National University of Arts,” “KU life of foreign freshmen Kallie and Anna,” and “College manners and etiquette,” They are assigned for each part of University Plus Program. As for the program charged for Onsaemiro section, more information will be provided in June.

KU students who want to take part in can get on KU Office of Academic Affairs homepage, click on the section for University Plus, and finally reach the attached link for the application form. Students can get the information about the programs at the notice board on KU Portal to Information Depository (KUPID) two weeks before each program begins. “Korean Classical Music concert with Korea National University of Arts,” is going to be held on April 29comma 5 P.M. at Centennial Memorial SAMSUNG Global Conference Hall.

“University Plus is planning to show consistent and coherent programs, being differentiated from other one-time programs. They will be the new career for students to improve their creativity and personality,” said Myung Soom Gu, vice president for Academic Affairs.
