Until March 27, Korea University (KU) Gender Equality Center is recruiting its 10th supporters. Regardless of major and age, all students including undergraduates and those on a leave of absence can apply as the 10th gender-equal culture keepers of KU. Once the supporters are elected, they will have their first mandatory meeting on March 31 at 6 P.M. After that, they will begin their work as true supporters until February, 2016, doing a variety of activities.
        
As the public ambassadors of the center, they will plan and carry out the spring and fall campaign during the week of gender culture. Furthermore, they are asked to participate in educational seminars and open forums relating to gender issues, and support and aid sexually abused colleagues in and out of campus. As sexual violence among university students and professors is growing frequent and is a problem to be resolved, the role of these students is important.

“This is why we grant certificate of completion for the students who have passionately worked as a supporter of our center for a whole year,” said the center. Although it does accompany much responsibility, students will also be able to promote friendship with other supporters through spring and fall picnics and Membership Training (MT).

Those who are interested can download and fill out the application form from the Notice Board on Korea University Portal to Information Depository (KUPID).
