With 60 years of history, The Granite Tower (GT) recently held a photo exhibition in People¡¯ s Square in Korea University (KU). From March12 to March 13, two white boards were installed in the square, with pictures posted on each side. Reporters in GT also created an information desk besides the exhibition spot, where students interested in GT recruitment could visit.

The first section was composed of some impressive GT covers. Ranging from the 1990s to recent, the covers reflected a lengthy history of GT. Every cover page implied the social atmosphere of a particular period, summarizing the notable issues of concern. Behind the cover display were photos of celebrities who currently attend or have graduated KU. Many of them were notable in society, including idol singers, researchers, professors, and sports players.

Another section that captivated the eyes of visitors was the collection of Ipselenti ¡°Jiya Hamsung¡± (Roar of Wisdom and Wildness) photos, one of the biggest festivals in KU. Pictures of celebrities performing in red clothes, cheerleaders enthusiastically dancing, and faces of excited audience were vividly portrayed.

Kim Dong Eun (¡¯13, Psychology), the current head of the photo division in GT, said ¡°This photo exhibition was held to introduce GT¡¯s pastactivities, and look back on our history.¡± As she and other GT members intended, the photo exhibition was visited by many students, allowing them to realize the path GT has followed.
