On March 24, Etoos-Cheongsol, the entrance examination enterprise, announced the statistics named ¡°Analysis of 2009-2014 Korean Law Graduate School Applicants¡±. The chart listed a number of percentages from 25 different Law Schools, related to the applicants and the school they attended to. Following the research and thorough analysis, Korea University (KU) took the first place in the rate of sending its students to KU Korean Law Graduate School.

The overall result of the survey reached a conclusion that almost more than the half of the successful applicants had been from Seoul National University (SNU), Yonsei University (YU), and KU, namely SKY in total. Rest of them was students from normal divisions who majored in law. In a different aspect, the research also illustrated that Law Schools selected the students from affiliated universities as much as 25.7 percentage in average.

Among the universities, KU singled out 68.3 percentage, or 82 students, of their own and sent them to KU Law Graduate School. SNU followed the record by reaching 68 percent at close. Eventually the voice of concern and criticism are rising, for the ratings for KU and SNU seems to outlaw the given limit. According to the law conditions, the school cannot transfer more than two thirds of its students to its own university law school.

Nevertheless, to deny any suspicion or doubts, universities, including KU are claiming for innocence. The vice president for School Administration, Park Jisoon stated, ¡°The school did not trespass over the limit since the law limits the boundary of restriction only to general exam passers, and not including additional ones,¡± in the interview and justified the school¡¯s position.
