OnMarch 20, the 59th National University Ice Hockey Championship has begun at icerink located in  Kyonggi province. Korea University (KU) participated on the firstday, and defeated Kyunghee University by the score 9:1. KU’s victory waspredictable within the first period of the entire game.

 Assoon as the game began, KU’s leading athlete Lee Seung Hyuk made the first goalwithin the first four minutes. The rest of the team members also made repeatedgoals, and the first half of the period ended with KU winning with 4:0. Thesecond period was soon followed by four scores, third period with four scores,and the KU’s hockey team made a great victory against Kyunghee University.Kyunghee University lost by 9:1 and the first score came from Jin Chae Woon,who made the score during the first period.

 Onthe other hand, Yonsei University also won the game against Hanyang University.Similar to KU, Yonsei University also made the first two goals within the firstperiod. During the second period, Yonsei University made four additional goals.Hanyang University lost without making any points during this game.

Thegame is attended by five universities in Korea which includes YonseiUniversity, Korea University, Kyunghee University, Kwang Woon University andHanyang University. The championship will be held until the 26th.
