Aegineung clubswill be promoted through a fair that is taking place from March 17 to 18, whichis the Monday and Tuesday this week. The fair will be held at the Nobel Plaza fortwo days, for science and engineering students to visit.

Prepared by the26th Federation of Aegineung Clubs, the Fair gives opportunities for Aegineungclubs to recruit new members for this school year. The event also has itspurpose in helping the first year students, who are looking for exciting campuslife, to find the clubs that they want to be involved in. This does not meanthat only freshmen are allowed to take part, as there are many clubs that willmore than welcome any students wishing to join.

Federation ofAegineung Clubs has been holding the club fair for many years in the past. Thishas helped in flourishing the Aegineung clubs which have a distinct personalityapart from the central clubs. Aegineung clubs belong within the science andengineering campus and thus also consist of members who are students of scienceand engineering majors.

Many science andengineering students have exam schedules that are quite different from thesemiannual—midterm and final—exam schedules that can be quite bothersome whendoing club activities. Joining an Aegineung club will give those students theopportunity to enjoy enriched campus life as well as secure the time for theirstudies.

Song Yun Ju(’14, Biotechnology), on the other hand, felt that the booths at the fair werenot as enthusiastic as she would have expected. “If they were a bit moreenthusiastic on promoting their clubs, it would have drawn more attention tothe booths,” she said.
