OnApril 3, 2014 Korea University’s (KU) Green Field was crowded with KU andYonsei students who came for the joint cheering orientation. The joint cheeringorientation is one of the biggest school events that happen annually wherestudents from each school can learn the cheering moves of each other. Bylearning the cheer moves, they are not only preparing for the Annual Ko-YonGames that will be held during the second semester, but also giving studentsfrom each school a chance to interact with each other. 

The location rotatesevery year, and the orientation was held at Yonsei University last year.Students are excited to hear that the orientation is happening at our “homeground.” “Last year KU students had to go to Yonsei University for the occasion,and many students complained because the campus was too far. “This year, I amso glad that we can stay in our campus. I hope that we could share our schoolculture with the Yonsei students, and also get an opportunity to interact withthem.” Kim Jin Suk (’13, Philosophy) The number of KU students attending theevent will also increase because the event is held at our own school. 

The eventwill be held from 6:00p.m. until 9p.m. Even after the event, each departmentfrom the two schools will meet up and get an opportunity to interact. The jointcheering orientation will be especially exciting for freshmen students since itis the first school event that involves Yonsei University. It will be a goodway to start off their first year of college life.
