On March 2, at 10 A.M. Korea University (KU) held 2015 entrance ceremony at Hwajeong Tiger Dome. On that day, about 6000 students were admitted as KU freshmen. Choi Jun Won ('15, Chemical and Biological Engineering) and Lee Su Min ('15, Business Administration) took the oath of proactive fulfillment and contribution to KU on behalf of the 2015 freshmen. The person who conducted the ceremony was Gang Da Som ('08, Law), who is now an announcer in Moonwha Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
Yeom Jae Ho, the newly inaugurated KU president delivered a welcome speech to freshmen. He said, "Since your lives are just given once, dream big. Throw away all the values and thoughts you have had and live a new, different life. And I hope that KU can be the place where you can fully achieve your dreams." He also recited a part of the song called "Bongwoori" which was composed by Kim Min Ki and was sung by Yang Hee Eun and emphasized that the students should not stop challenging after the entrance and start another challenge from now on.
At This Entrance Ceremony, Song Gil Young ('88, Computer Science), who is now a vice-president of Daum Soft, delivered the words of encouragement and congratulated the freshmen. While looking back on his past campus life, he said, "To live a life is to become hope for those who could not even get a chance to live." He also added not to forget the day of entrance ceremony and that he hope freshmen can remember what they feel now in the future as well.
