The Career Development Center of Korea University Business School (KUBS) has been awarded the grand prize for the 2015 National Brand Awards (NBA) in the Career Development Service sector. With this year’s fruitful award, the KUBS center has been selected for this honorable prize for three consecutive years. In particular, the NBA highly appreciated the center’s specialized service in supervising students from their freshman year until they graduate, and even until they prepare for Master of Business Administration (MBA) and their doctor’s degree.

Surprisingly, this is the one and only institution in Korea with such extensive career services. While the unemployment problem is serious, students of the Business School who took advantage of this center were mostly successfully employed or managed to establish their own businesses. “Thanks to the mentoring program, I was able to meet seniors who were already working in the financial world and earn lots of vital information,” said Kim Shi-Hoon (’05, Business School). He is now working in the Korea Development Bank (KDB), and notes that the KUBS center has played a big role.

Apart from this mentoring program, the center offers one-to-one career service programs for students. Divided into four stages, the program grants diverse seminars for freshmen, as well as information about internships that match individual students. The KUBS center now aims to continue its accomplishments in order to nurture future global business leaders.
