From April 6 to 10, annual checkups will be provided in Korea University (KU). All students can receive checkups in the KU health center. Students could visit the center from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M, except for a one-hour lunch break at 12:00 P.M.

The available areas for checkups are divided into two for Campus of Liberal Arts and Campus of Science and Engineering. For students in Campus of Liberal Arts, checkups can be done at the Central Plaza’s first basement level. Students in Campus of Science and Engineering can visit the Hana Square G lounge for checkups. Students can have their chests X-rayed in the bus, which will be stationed in front of the Central Plaza for liberal arts students, and the College of Science for science and engineering students.

There are two main types of checkups. The basic checkup type consists of hepatitis B test, urine test, and blood test. Also, height, weight, obesity index, and blood pressure can be measured. Checkup fees are free for those who paid health fees, and 6,000 won for those who did not. In addition, students can receive selective checkups for 10,000 won, which will require them to fast from 10:00 P.M the day before their checkups.

“I think the school is quite considerate of students, as checkups often require some amount of time and money,” said Jong Il Park (’15, Political Science and Economics). Amidst the busy routines, stopping by for checkups would be a healthy idea for all.
