Korea University (KU) won this year’s College Basketball League game against Sangmyung University(SU) at May 4, 2016. No team has beaten the team yet this season.

The match between KU and SU was the second encounter this season, in which the KU won the first encounter. Kim Nak Hyun, Choi Seong Mo, and Lee Jong Hyun starred in the most recent match to guide their team to an astonishing 85-67 victory.

KU overwhelmed the opponent starting from the first whistle of the game, as they ended the first quarter with a point margin of two digits. KU saw its margin diminished at the end of the second quarter, yet players were lucky to be in front considering the amount of chances SU had during the second quarter.

KU extended its lead as the third quarter began and with 4 minutes and 51 seconds remaining in the quarter, they were leading by 20 points. Stars-of-the-day Kim Nak Hyun and Lee Jong Hyun scored 15 points combined during the third quarter alone.

KU ended the game with ease as younger legs were introduced during the last quarter. “As a fan of this Basketball League, I am very glad that KU won again” said Gyunam Kim (’15 Biomedical Engineering). KU is expected to play its next game against Konkuk University at 26 May.
