After successfully entering the Main Hall, the Occupation Committee has signaled the official start of the occupation. The Occupation Committee is an organization independent from the Korea University Student Association (KUSA) and is being temporarily led by Yu Jong Heun (Department of Media and Communication). During the preliminary meeting held in the first floor conference room, the students who led the occupation unanimously decided to continue the occupation until the University faculty acquiesces to their demands. In particular, students urged the faculty to immediately rescind the plans for Crimson College and school system revision.

The significance of the General Assembly was once again delineated in the preliminary meeting, with many students noting how the occupation strengthened the case for the General Assembly. Around 8:30 P.M., pungmulpae, a traditional Korean percussion band, held a celebratory performance. Meanwhile, there was an altercation between the occupants and several faculty members after the latter attempted to lock an office in the second floor, with some students even suggesting that they dismantle the office door. Elsewhere, the Dean of the Department of Media and Communication and the occupants are arguing over whether the occupation can be considered a form of justified resistance.

Update: A temporary meeting has been convened to decide whether to allow Ma Dong Hoon, the Dean of the Department of Media and Communication, to access files that he deems imperative to the University faculty's  'public works'. The meeting has unanimously agreed that members of the faculty cannot, on principle, be granted access the files in the Main Hall, nor can they be allowed to enter the Main Hall. However, the meeting also dictated that on some occasions according to the Occupation Committee's discretion, the faculty can be granted access to the files given that the occupants look over them first. Additionally, the meeting addressed the issue of whether covering the CCTVs with tape is liable to provoke any legal retribution and decided to ask professors for legal advice pertaining to the matter.
