Korea University (KU) is getting ready for the election of its new student government leaders as the end of the year is now nearly around the corner. On November 8, the Central Election Commission of KU has officially announced the significant dates and schedules of the 49th Korea University Association (KUSA) election.
Candidate recommendation and registration began on November 16, proceeded until November 18, followed by a council meeting that was held at 8:00 P.M. of the final day. The major purpose of this conference was to confirm the final candidates and adjust further election regulations. The official electioneering campaign will take place for nine days from November 21 to December 6. During this period, the candidate teams are expected to present their public pledges in detail. Finally, students will be able to vote throughout the next three days, December 7 to 9.
Eumjul is the sole candidate team running for the next KUSA election this year. Lee Seungjun (¡¯11, Psychology) is the main candidate and Kim Bohyeok (¡¯14 Political Science and International Relations) is his running mate. Their team name Eumjul, meaning slur in English, is a symbol of musical notation which instructs ¡°different notes to be played smoothly without separation.¡±
