The Candlelight Vigil and Culture Festival are currently underway in the City Hall Square, with an estimated one million people gathered in the area. The Culture Festival has invited celebrities like Jo PD to voice their thoughts on the Choi Soon-sil scandal and perform before the congregated people. Student Association Presidents from Sogang University and Busan University have also taken to the podium to condemn President Park and urge her to step down.

Elsewhere, student protestors in Kyeongbokgung station are locked in a stalemate against the police, with both factions struggling to prevent the other's advancement.

The people are now preparing for another march through the streets of Jongno. KUSA plans on leading KU students from Lotte Hotel toward Gwanghuamun.

Update: The official march ended around 11 P.M. Those who wished to continue the march have advanced against the police line near Gwanghuamun, and have established another stalemate there. Overall, the People's Rally was a rousing success, with only minimal injuries sustained by protestors.
