On November 5, Korea University (KU) became the first domestic college to participate in the Asia Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) Mentoring Program, organized by the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (ARPU). Starting this year, the APRU launched leadership enhancement programs to contribute to the growth and development of women within its institution. Under the institution's mentorship, faculty members from universities in South Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, and Canada were able to exchange talks on different cultural views.

Participants formed a mentor-mentee system with each other to diversify and effectively share feedback. According to KU NEWS, KU professors from multiple departments took part in the event as either mentors or mentees. 26 universities gathered together during roughly six sessions throughout the year. By engaging in workshops and seminars, participants developed skills and potential to become distinguished leaders. This program helps highlight the power of women leadership as a force to be reckoned with in the international community.
