Korea University’s (KU) 12th annual International Student Festival (ISF) was held on Thursday, October 29, 10:00 A.M. through 4:00 P.M at Minju Square. The festival was hosted and arranged by Korea University Buddy Assistants (KUBA) and sponsored by KU Office of International Affairs.

ISF is an international cultural festival hosted by KUBA every autumn where hundreds of foreign exchange students and Korean student members of KUBA form teams to introduce the distinct culture of each exchange student’s country to other KU students. With the theme being ‘Global Expo in KU, ISF,’ 2015 ISF presented free food, traditional apparel, and distinct features of around 30 countries.

This year, around 200 Korean and 800 foreign student members from KUBA presented unique cultures around the globe by displaying their diverse activities, foods, and traditional garments in 31 international booths. The 31 booths included Angola, United States (U.S.), Dominican Republic, United Kingdom (UK), Flea Market, KUBA, and many more.

“Today’s world enjoys an unprecedented level of intercultural exchange. For this year’s ISF, KU students from a variety of countries have succeeded in realizing a small but wonderful miniature of a harmonious world,” said Sunhyuk Kim (Vice President, KU Office of International Affairs).
