Last Thursday, on April 30, at 11 A.M., a bit special signboard hanging ceremony was held in Korea University (KU).
The representative for Wooshin ChemTech, Park Jungoo (¡¯62, Philosophy), revealed that he would start donating 100 million Korean Won annually for five years starting from last year as a development fund for the Liberal Arts College of KU. As a way of continuing his legacy, Liberal Arts College of KU implemented ¡°Collection of Books of Humanities of Liberal Arts College¡± publication business and ¡°Integrative Humanities¡± lecture.
Liberal Arts College prepared Park Jungoo Humanities Seminar Hall and held a signboard hanging ceremony to commemorate the representative spirit of Park Jungoo¡¯s Humanities promotion and cultivation of talented individuals.
In the ceremony, Park Jungoo, KU President Yeom Jae-Ho, Lee Jae Hoon Head of Liberal Arts College, Yun Eun Gee Head of Alumni Association, Staffs of Liberal Arts College, and KU students showed up. A business briefing session of ¡°Park Jungoo Donation¡± opened as well on the day.
Students who directly participated in the seminar also stayed for the ceremony. Lee Jimin (¡¯12, Philosophy), a KU student, commented that ¡°It was a great time because it (the class) was actually like the one I dreamt of.¡±
Liberal Arts College revealed that KU Liberal Arts College plans to designate the seminar hall for cultivating talented individuals in the field of Humanities and publish a collection of humanities books.
