On May 13, the International Student and Faculty Festival (ISFF) was held at the People¡¯s Square of Korea University (KU) Seoul Campus. This event is an extended version of the annual International Students Festival, hosted by KU Buddy Assistants (KUBA). As one of KUBA¡¯s largest activities, the event allows international exchange students to introduce their traditional culture and food, promoting understanding and communication between different communities. A total of 20 booths participated, including 16 booths from different regions and an expanded special booth run by the international faculty members in celebration of the 120th anniversary of KU.
Professor Stewert Cooper (Department of English Language Education), a staff member who participated in the international faculty booth, said the festival ¡°was a great opportunity for both international and Korean participants,¡± emphasizing that ¡°It definitely showed the Korean students about the diversity of nationalities on campus in a lively and comfortable way.¡± KUBA¡¯s Promotion Manager Kwon Jaehee (¡®24, Department of English Language Education) commented, ¡°It was a meaningful experience to participate as promotion manager; I thank every booth that did their best to make the festival enjoyable with wonderful food and games.¡± With vibrant cultural exchanges and enthusiastic participation, ISFF broadened the horizons of international exchange students within the KU community.
