Korea University (KU) and Michigan State University (MSU) will host a university communities conference to explore innovative insights on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), taking place at KU from May 15 to 16. The conference topic is “Global Excellence: Building Inclusive University Communities,” where leaders, scholar-practitioners, and students from both schools will actively participate in the event. From plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and networking events, this conference will foster advanced academic research through collaboration between the two universities’ intellects. Additionally, DEI-related academic exchange can strengthen the global competence of schools and offer participants the chance to discover the concept of DEI on a global scale.

The conference is regarded as one of KU’s initiatives to celebrate its 120th anniversary, reinforcing its global standing as a university of excellence. Through this event, both universities aspire to build abiding global partnerships and provide students and faculty with a better learning environment. While registration is free for all participants, students from MSU are offered an optional pre-conference cultural program at an affordable price, entailing experiences of Korean traditions and cuisine. The conference will take place on May 15 from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., and on May 16 from 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., at the KU campus, SK Future Hall.
