At Korea University (KU) Seoul Campus, the by-election for the KU Student Union (KUSU) takes place. The election features a sole candidacy from the campaign headquarters ¡°Bada¡±, led by presidential candidate Lee Jungwon (¡®22, Department of Business Administration) and vice-presidential candidate Han Jaemin (¡®19, College of Medicine). Running under the slogan ¡°For the Future, Where Wishes Come True,¡± the candidates have made their main pledge to establish a new career department to strengthen career support. Their plans include a four-day career week featuring lectures, mentoring, and job fairs; along with semesterly relay career lectures bringing in multiple speakers. ¡°Students are the ones who know the school best,¡± said Lee, vowing to lead a student council that will bring tangible changes. ¡°We cherish everyone¡¯s ocean, and cheer on each individual¡¯s voyage,¡± stressed Han, pledging to ensure that all students grow on campus.
Since the KUSU presidential election was canceled in November 2024 due to the lack of candidates, the by-election voting will be held from March 24 to 26. If at least one-third of the student body participates by March 26, the vote count will proceed. Attention is now on whether the campaign headquarters ¡°Bada¡± can open the ballot box and claim victory.
