On May 4, the SKY Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) CEO Forum announced that it had officially launched following its inauguration ceremony on April 30. The forum brings together executives from Seoul National University (SNU), Korea University (KU), and Yonsei University (YU) to discuss economic challenges and pursue practical business collaboration. Unlike a conventional alumni meeting, the organization aims to function as a problem-solving executive network through initiatives such as the “Hot Seat” program, where CEOs receive peer feedback on real management issues.

The launch reflects the growing significance of EMBA programs within South Korea’s corporate culture. In Korea, EMBAs extend beyond academies, functioning as elite networking platforms. This influence is particularly pronounced among the SKY universities, whose alumni networks have historically shaped much of domestic economic leadership. Choi Kyungcheon, the founding chairman of the forum and a KU EMBA alumnus, stated, “We aim to grow into a leadership platform that enhances managerial excellence and spreads positive social influence through the experience and insight of trusted fellow executives.” With its core missions centered on “practical management insight, business collaboration and social impact”, the SKY EMBA CEO Forum is expected to provide comprehensive support for professionals across a wide range of challenges, from operational strategy to regulatory concerns.
