Korea University¡¯s (KU) annual festival, the Seoktap Daedongje, successfully concluded the three-day run from May 20 to May 22 at the Central Plaza of KU Seoul campus. This year¡¯s theme, KUdyssey, represented more than just a student festival; it was a way to emphasize the passionate and adventurous spirit of KU students, encouraging them to grow through a variety of experiences and challenges. As in previous years, the popular festival Daedongje featured a wide range of booths and student pubs set up across campus, allowing students to both host and engage in different activities. Company sponsors, such as Galaxy, Krush, and Kakao Games, also participated with their own booths, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Due to the construction of the Student Union Building, the festival this year uniquely took place at the Central Plaza. This change received overall positive responses, as it felt more spacious and comfortable for students. Meanwhile, the line to enter the KU student-only zone near the main stage stretched across campus from early morning. The performances began with KU¡¯s own student bands and dance clubs, showcasing their talents. The festive spirit of KU peaked with headline performances by popular K-pop groups such as ¡°BTOB,¡± ¡°Tomorrow X Together,¡± and ¡°Ive,¡± drawing massive crowds and enthusiastic student participation.
