Korea University (KU) will host the second Major Fair, “Hoshitam Tam,” from May 20 to 21 between 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the SK Future Hall Lobby. Open to all KU students, the fair aims to provide guidance for those considering a transfer or double major. Departmental consultation booths will offer opportunities to explore various majors and learn about KU’s major selection system. 44 departments are taking part in the second Major Fair—18 more departments than the first Major Fair—to accommodate the needs to fulfill students’ diverse interests in the academic expedition.

Along with the academic session of major-related counseling, activity booths are prepared to induce students’ interest in the event. After participating in a counseling session, students can experience an amusing time through color analysis, tarot cards, and caricature booths. A lucky draw event will also be held for those who took a counseling session, giving them chances to win prizes. Pre-registration for the fair is available from May 7 to 19; the first 1000 pre-registered participants can receive official KU merchandise as a welcome gift. By offering concrete guidance on the major selection system and provoking students’ interest in diverse majors, the fair will work as a meaningful venue for future academic exploration.
