The Jung Woonoh IT & General Education Center (Provided by KU Communication Team)

The opening ceremony of Jung Woonoh IT & General Education Center was held on March 6, 2025. The event was attended by Korea University (KU) President Kim Dong-One and descendants of Chairman Jung Woonoh, an alumnus of KU’s predecessor Bosung School whose family funded the building. With the center opened, students can now conveniently attend general science classes, having the previously dispersed liberal arts experiments and practical courses into one single location, reducing the need to move between multiple buildings on campus.
According to KU’s Communication Team, the building is not affiliated with a specific college but holds laboratories for the School of Cybersecurity and the Department of Semiconductor Engineering. Kim So-Yeong, an administrative staff member from the College of Informatics, stated that the college is now able to use 9 additional classrooms, which allows more flexibility in designing classes throughout the semester. She added “The administration is looking forward to utilizing and offering students the additional space in various ways.” The first floor features the Startup Support Center and Level-Up Studio, providing resources for student entrepreneurship. As a significant addition to the science and engineering campus, the Jung Woonoh IT & General Education Center is expected to foster academic growth and innovation, helping students develop convergent talents.
