Korea University Anam Hospital and the Independence Hall of Korea have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in March to provide history education for pediatric patients to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Korea¡¯s liberation. The aim is to teach young patients lessons about the significance of the independence movement, as well as key historical figures and organizations. Every month from March to November, curators from the Independence Hall of Korea will visit the ¡°Children¡¯s Dream Classroom,¡± and conduct engaging activities tailored to the patient¡¯s understanding.
The ¡°Children¡¯s Dream Classroom¡± first opened in 2020, with the goals of providing adequate education and rehabilitation to help the development of long-term young patients. From core subjects to music and art therapy, the program offers various activities supporting the emotional stability of pediatric patients. This MOU serves as an opportunity for Anam Hospital to expand on its goals of facilitating educational growth while highlighting the importance of the appreciation for the independence movement. By integrating history education into hospital care, the program will hopefully inspire other hospitals to follow in its footsteps and provide better care for their young patients. This partnership emphasizes the evolving roles of hospitals, focusing on holistic patient care and promoting both intellectual growth and well-being.
