In commemoration of Korea University (KU)s 120th anniversary, the KU Museum has designed a special exhibition titled 120 Years of KU, Fascinating Future Intelligence. The exhibition, which mounts with the opening ceremony on April 30 and runs until December 20, features outstanding national treasures of Korea and historical records of KU, which are preserved in the KU Library and Museum. Composed of five main themes—philosophy, religion, astronomy, aesthetics, landscapes, learning, and KUs history—each section is inspired by the name of KU in Chinese characters. Throughout the elaborately structured exhibition to celebrate the anniversary, audiences can explore the core values of excellence that KU has pursued for 120 years.
Established in 1934, KU Museum is one of the first university museums in Korea, assuming a crucial role in preserving KUs history, along with its devotion to conserving Koreas national heritage. Through this exhibition of 120 selected artifacts, KU is aiming to showcase the schools leadership in preserving numerous national treasure-level artifacts. In turn, KU Museum hopes to attract more visitors, both from the universitys community and beyond, helping transform KUs 120th anniversary into a national festivity where everyone can expand their knowledge and experience cultural excellence.
