On August 18th, Korea University Medical Center (KUMC), Nanuri Medical Foundation, and Bas Group including Basbai, and Basgenbio finalized a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the advancement of precise medical platforms based on medical big data at Korea University College of Medicine’s Main Hall.

KUMC Precision Medicine Center agreed to utilize artificial intelligence (A.I.) learning in order to design digital bio-markers with the possession of genetic information of 10,000 cancer patients. Kim Young Hoon, Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs, declared, “Through this agreement, we want to realize the necessity of personalized treatment to spread positive effects on the medical industry and improve health and quality of life for the people.”

Basgenbio also promised to strive for analyzing and associating the genetic data of cancer patients and patient medical records data, while Basbai also claimed to focus on areas where A.I. can take place in the medical field. The Nanuri Medical Foundation showed great expectations that precise treatment will be more available based on being provided necessary medical big data.
