대한민국 최초의 AI대학원으로서 세계 최고 수준의 인공지능 연구를 수행하고 있는 KAIST 김재철AI대학원과 KAIST의 교육 시스템과 KIST의 연구 역량을 결합하여 AI 로봇 분야 박사를 양성하는 KAIST-KIST-AI로봇대학원프로그램에서 2026년 가을학기 신입생을 모집합니다.

KAIST는 최근 10년(2016–2025) 동안 기계학습 Top 학회 (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) 논문 수 기준 세계 6위를 기록하였으며, 2023년에는 세계 2위를 기록하였습니다. 또한, 2024년에는 인공지능 및 응용 Top 학회 (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, KDD, AAAI, IJCAI, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) 논문 수 기준 세계 5위를 기록하였습니다. 전임 교수진 역시 최근 10년(2016–2025) 동안 NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR에 게재한 논문 수 기준 국내 연구자 중 1위에서 8위까지의 순위를 기록하였습니다.

KAIST 김재철AI대학원은 30개 이상의 인공지능 관련 교과목을 통해 체계적이고 다양한 교과과정을 운영하고 있으며, 국비 및 KAIST 장학생으로 선정된 분들에게 등록금과 학연장려금이 지원됩니다.

KAIST-KIST-AI로봇대학원프로그램은 KAIST와 한국과학기술연구원(KIST)이 협력하여 AI 로봇 분야의 박사급 인재를 양성하기 위해 설립된 학·연 협력 프로그램으로, 본 프로그램에 KAIST 장학생으로 선발된 학생은 최대 8학기 동안 KIST로부터 등록금 및 학연장려금을 지원받으며, KIST와 근로계약을 체결하고 KIST에 상주하여 로봇 등 첨단 연구시설을 활용한 연구를 수행하게 됩니다.

KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI and the KAIST–KIST AI Robotics Graduate Program are now accepting applications for Fall 2026!

The KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI, the first graduate school dedicated to artificial intelligence in Korea and a globally recognized center for AI research, together with the KAIST–KIST AI Robotics Graduate Program, which combines KAIST’s academic excellence with the research capabilities of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), are now accepting applications for the Fall 2026 semester.

Over the past decade (2016–2025), KAIST ranked 6th worldwide in terms of publications at top machine learning conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR), and 2nd worldwide in 2023. In addition, in 2024 KAIST ranked 5th worldwide based on the number of publications in leading AI and AI application conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, KDD, AAAI, IJCAI, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV). KAIST faculty members have also ranked 1st through 8th among researchers in Korea in terms of publications at NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR over the same period.

The KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI offers more than 30 AI-related courses, providing a comprehensive and well-structured curriculum. Students selected as National Scholarship students or KAIST Scholarship students receive full tuition support and research stipends.

The KAIST–KIST AI Robotics Graduate Program is a joint graduate program established by KAIST and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) to train doctoral-level researchers in AI robotics. Students admitted as KAIST scholarship students will receive tuition support and research stipends from KIST for up to eight semesters. They will sign an employment contract with KIST and conduct research at KIST using advanced research facilities, including robotics laboratories.
