On October 10, the first X-Garage festival titled ¡°X-Day for EX-KIDS¡± was held at the X-Garage Makerspace, located on the basement floor of the International Studies Hall. The X-Garage — the X signifying unlimited creativity — is a place where Korea University (KU) students are able to use high-tech equipment to design and create any object they desire.
Inspired from the fact that the number ten is expressed as X in Roman numerals, X-Garage held its first festival on October 10. At the ¡°X-Day for EX-KIDS¡± festival, X-Garage aimed to provide an area similar to a playground. This is to create a fun atmosphere for kidults — adults wanting to have fun like kids. Booths to make acrylic keyrings using a laser engraving equipment, photo zones decorated with acrylic cubes, booths to play large-sized puzzles and radio controlled (RC) car racing games were prepared for KU students to enjoy themselves.
The X-Garage festival ¡°X-Day for EX-KIDS¡± was certainly a great opportunity for KU students to learn more about X-Garage and try out innovative equipment to bloom their creativity.
