On September 6, Korea University (KU) lost to Yonsei University (YU) in the Annual Ko-Yon Baseball Game, with the final score of 3-6.

The baseball game was held at the Mok-dong Baseball Stadium. Despite the continued concerns due to a changed stadium—from Jamsil Stadium—and forecasts expecting rain, the game successfully started at the designated time, 10:00 A.M.

Both teams ended the first inning without scoring any points. However, KU faced difficulties in the second inning, with YU earning two points in advance with a home run hit made by Kim Ju-han (¡¯16, YU, Third Baseman). KU sought a reversal in the third inning with Choi Hyun-jun (¡¯18, Physical Education, First Baseman) earning one point. However, YU continued to play strong, Park Seung-hun (¡¯17, YU, Designated Hitter) making another point. At the fourth inning, KU replaced its pitcher from Park Gun-woo (¡¯17, Physical Education, Pitcher) to Park Dong-su (¡¯18, Physical Education, Pitcher). No points were further added to the score during the fourth and fifth inning for both teams.

After the fifth inning, a sudden rush of rain covered the stadium. Fortunately, the sky cleared up soon, allowing the game to resume. Resembling the clear sky, KU began building up points from the sixth inning. YU changed its pitcher during this inning, from Hyung Gwan-woo (¡¯19, YU, Pitcher) to Seong Jae-hun (¡¯16, YU, Pitcher). With a safe hit made by Lee Young-un (¡¯19, Physical Education, Designated Hitter), KU earned another two points, making a tie of 3-3. However, KU soon suffered difficulties at the seventh inning, as YU scored three more points which broke the tie. Since no points were earned during the eighth and ninth inning, the game ended at the score of 3-6.

Regardless of the result, KU Baseball team showed great teamwork and sportsmanship during the game. Although KU Baseball players tried their best, with KU Cheerleaders (KUC) and KU students all playing a supportive role, the first game of the Annual Ko-Yon Games ended as a victory for YU.
