From September 12 to 14, 2017 Korea University (KU) Autumn Festival MOAI was held at the People¡¯s Square. Several KU clubs of the Anam Youth Association (AYA) volunteered to participate in the festival, hosting booths with various activities. MOAI, which is an abbreviation of the phrase ¡°This beautiful place as we gather,¡± was held under four keynotes, including ¡°the university culture that everyone makes.¡±

To accomplish the goal, the clubs from various divisions planned a variety of booths. Four arts clubs, such as KU Seohwahoe, held exhibitions to show their artworks and calligraphies at the Jayu Maru in front of the Communications Buildings. A talk show, ¡°As You Speak,¡± covered diverse topics, such as the difficulties of cleaning workers and the story of an undergraduate becoming a professor. The program succeeded in embracing all KU members from different backgrounds, including the undergraduates, the professors, and the members of the community.

AYA revealed its purpose and significance, ¡°The nature of university has been changed—from the place of contemplation and academics, to the place of competition for high Grade Point Average (GPA) and specs for employment. Encountering the crisis of the university culture, we aim to make some links between the clubs and the students, and ultimately, to share our culture with more people.¡±
