3 billion won donated by KU Alumni

Doctor Yoo Kwang Sa (’63, Medicine), director of a women’s hospital at Hwagok-dong and current Chairman of the Korea University (KU) College of Medicine Alumni Association, made a generous donation of 3 billion won at the KU President's Office in the presence of President Ki-Su Lee and Medical Deputy President Oh Dong-joo on February 4th. A hardworking doctor, even at the age of 67, Doctor Yoo said he was motivated to contribute such a huge donation after his visit to Harvard University Medical School. He was impressed with the high quality of education offered by Harvard University. The visit convinced him that fundamental improvements in the educational environment at KU were crucial, in order for the KU College of Medicine to create leading doctors and scientists in their fields.
