'인터넷이 어떻게 보다 나은 세상을 만들 수 있을까?'

오는 6월 17일부터 18일까지 서울에서 '인터넷 경제의 미래'를 주제로 열리는 OECD 장관회의를 위해 유튜브는 'OECD 리더에게 묻는다 ('The Future of the Internet' Question)' 라는 글로벌 동영상 대화를 진행할 예정입니다. 이를 통해 국내를 포함한 전세계 네티즌들이 유튜브를 매개로 OECD 장관들과 질문과 답변을 자유롭게 주고 받을 수 있는 토론의 장을 갖게 됩니다.

이번 장관회의에서 다룰 'OECD 리더에게 묻는다' 의 주제는 '인터넷이 어떻게 보다 나은 세상을 만들 수 있을까요?' 이며 5월 30일부터 6월 16일까지 전세계 사용자들은 누구나 유튜브의 'OECD 리더에게 묻는다' 채널인 www.youtube.co.kr/FutureInternet에 동영상 질문을 올릴 수 있습니다.

이렇게 업로드 된 동영상 질문은 일정 기준에 따른 OECD의 심사를 거치게 되며, 이들 선정된 동영상 질문들은 행사 기간 동안 OECD 장관회의가 열리는 삼성동 코엑스에 마련된 유튜브 부스에서 상영할 계획입니다. 본 회의에 참석하는 각국의 장관들을 포함한 전세계 리더들은 유튜브 부스에서 동영상 질문들을 확인하고 답변하게 되며, 답변 동영상은 유튜브에 바로 업로드 됩니다. 최종 선발된 동영상 질문들과 장관들의 답변 역시 www.youtube.co.kr/FutureInternet에서 확인할 수 있습니다.

이번 'OECD 리더에게 묻는다' 행사는 지난 1월 스위스에서 개최된 다보스 포럼의 'The Davos Question' 에 이어 유튜브가 글로벌 포럼을 계기로 전세계 사용자들이 토론에 참여할 수 있는 플랫폼을 마련한 두 번째 프로그램이 됩니다.

 Answering The OECD Question on The Future of the Internet :
"How can the Internet make the world a better place?"

YouTube, which represents the web 2.0 spirit of participation and sharing, will open another stage of global communication called 'The OECD Question', following the 'Davos Question', at the OECD Ministerial Meeting on June, in Seoul. So we will tell you what this OECD Ministerial Meeting and 'The OECD Question' means, what kind of discussions will take place, and how googlers can participate in it through a simple Q&A.

What is The OECD Question, The Future of the Internet?
In 1998, the Internet was emerging as a major new medium for communications. OECD Ministers gathered in Ottawa, Canada, and established policies promoting online activities in areas such as privacy, security, taxation and consumer protection. Since the Ottawa Ministerial, the global Internet economy has grown remarkably.
Ten years have passed, now the internet world faces a crucial turning point. This will be the main factor that decides internet economy's future. So this OECD Ministerial meeting is import!ant as they will take a close look at the changes of the internet, and search for principles and actions to lead the internet economy for the upcoming 10 years. This event will be held in Korea, which is a powerful country for internet and YouTube local site opened last January. It's the first time it is held in Asia, and it will be the largest event of all, with more than 40 ministers and hundreds of world business leaders participating. Vinton G. Cerf, Vice President & Chief Internet Evangelist, Google, especially, is also scheduled to attend.
Similar to what we did in Davos Forum, users around the world can ask video questions to ministers and business leaders on the "How can the Internet make the world a better place?" between May 29th to June 16th. Ministers and world leaders would visit the YouTube booth on site and answer the questions. The best video responses submitted to www.youtube.com/futureinternet will be screened by OECD team and all videos of question and  answers will be screened by OECD team.

The guidelines for submission of "The OECD Question" videos on YouTube are:
•    Be original - choose your own idea and approach.
•    Back it up - tell us why your perspective is import!ant thru evidence or personal story.
•    Keep it sharp - we recommend you keep your video at under 1 minute.
•    Make it look good - speak loudly and keep that camera steady.
•    Provide context - in the video description, include your name, country, and hometown.
•    Please note - all videos are subject to the YouTube Terms of Use.
