“Tart or Dart”
Participants needed!!

We investigate …
How English-learners of Korean categorize different consonant sounds such as
‘d’ in dart and ‘t’ in tart and, ‘ㄷ’ in 달, ‘ㄸ’ in ‘딸’ and ‘ㅌ’ in 탈. You will be
given a very simple task of judging what kinds of sounds that you heard. We
will collect your click responses from the task.

You are eligible…
If you are a) a native speaker of English who can understand and speak both
English and Korean (at any proficiency level*), b) between 18~35 years of age,
and c) have no history of speech/language and/or hearing problems.

The study takes about two hours …
1) Four 10-minute (speech-related) experiments (10*4 blocks = 40minutes)
2) completion of a language proficiency questionnaire (30 minutes)
3) a standardized memory test (20minutes)
4) word-reading tasks (20 minutes)

You will be paid …
30,000 won
