The Central Management Commission of Korea University (KU) held a small picketing at the West Gate on 11:45 P.M. Its main argument for such an action was to eradicate the decision of the school to close Bubbterria, the small cafeteria in the College of Law Building. According to the members of the Commission, KU merely declared a unilateral announcement to clear off the cafeteria region without asking the opinion of students, who are the main users of Bubbterria.
Students of the Commission stood on the sidewall of the West Gate holding pickets with their firm assertions written. ¡°Bubbterria Gone With the Student Welfare¡±, ¡°No Attempts For Communication¡±, and ¡°Please Let The Bubbterria Survive!¡± were the followings. On the other side of the Gate, the representative of the Committee cried out the voices of students with a small mike in his hand. He explained the overall situation for the students who are unaware of the situation.
¡°Bubterria will be gone by next June, and we hope to let our voices heard before it happens,¡± he claimed. In September of the year 2012, the school first proclaimed to transform Bubbterria into professors¡¯ lounge. Considering that the cafeteria was widely used by students with short period of time to eat lunch and was even adored for its cheap prices, such decision had been dumbfounded for the students.
To make school withdraw such decision and listen to the opinion of students, the members of Commission will continue to picket in front of the Gate. Tomorrow at the same time, they will open a press interview and receive more questions.
