From April 15 10 A.M. to 17 5 P.M. Korea University (KU) students can apply for fusion major. Fusion major refers to a combined form of two different majors in accord with common topics, or the system that allows students to study diverse fields altogether. For the students who complete designated credits for each fusion major, they are granted two degrees when they graduate.

Being in a college now, the students who have their primary major and have registered more than three semesters have the qualification. The students who have been already accepted with secondary major, however, are excluded. Reapplication is allowed only for those who have submitted renunciation paper by April 13.

The applicants can be accepted through the internet; in detail, get on Korea University Portal to Information Depository (KUPID), click on the section for registration and graduation, and finally reach the application for fusion major. They are going to be evaluated on their scholastic ability and their educational environment by each college and fusion major conference. Their average total grades including F will be reflected, from the grades of the first semester to that of the semester just before. The result will be announced on May 8 after 5 P.M. The applicants who are accepted can take courses from the next semester.

Currently, numerous fusion majors are open, including Emerging Market & Latin America (EML) and Politics, Economics, and Law (PEL). For more information about credits of required courses and specific curriculum subjects for each major, inquire to the academic affairs department of each college.
